AIA New Hampshire Announces 2012 Awards

The AIA New Hampshire Excellence in Architecture Awards were announced on January 21, 2012.  Each entry is judged on "overall design excellence including aesthetics, clarity, creativity, appropriate functionality, sustainability, building performance, and appropriateness with regard to fulfilling the client's program."  Among the award winners was Samyn-D'Elia Architects, P.A. for its work on the Holderness School Dormitories.  In particular, the jury noted: 

"This project has a quality that feels right ... The jury noted the thermal performance, sustainability features, economy, and appropriateness of the project.  This project demonstrates that LEED® and Energy Star set an appropriate standard."

Samyn-D'Elia Architects, P.A. won a Citation Award for their efforts.  Yeaton provided the mechanical, plumbing and sustainable engineering design on this project.  Check out photos of this project along with the other award winners.
